THE VERY FUN, FUN RUN

Does your school have cross country in muddy paddocks full of horses, cows and sorts of other stinky farm animals? Well our school does. Yesterday after lunch time, our school had  cross country. It all happened on the field and also the reserve next to our school. We have been practising for at least the entire term.

Watching all the 8 - 11 year old girl and boys start their races, the year 7 and 8's were encouraging them to go hard and don't give up. Then suddenly, "Year 7 girls Please" shouted Mrs Nua, summoning us to the start line, I then get butterfly's.

After Mr Burt demonstrates us where we will be running, he turns on the siren and we begin our run. Heavily jogging, I try to weave through all the girls that were bunched up together in front of me. Making my way an open space, I then hear a whole lot of year 7 and 8 boys and girls cheering for us go hard and not stop.

Seeing the finish line, Laita and I sprint as fast as we could. Coming a tie, we celebrate by having a nice drink of cold water. Even though I didn't come in the top 10, at least I ran, and that is what I am most proud of. Overall, the entire thing was FUN.

Hey Lisia!!!, I loved your post. I really liked how you put pictures up to give your readers a little picture in their head. Keep up the good work and keep using good words like 'summoning' to replace plain words. Tino pai to mahi Lisia.

Hi Lisia,
GREAT JOB in Cross Country! I really like how you said you weaved your way through the girls. It was really descriptive! I came 6th for Cross Country, but it was pretty tiring! Maybe next time you could use more interesting vocab. But other than that, awesome writing!

Hey Lisia,
This was an awesome post! I loved the different vocabulary you used. It's great that you tried your hardest and that you were proud of what you came. I know it was hard! Anyway, great writing! I can't wait to see more!
